Intensive Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to water systems, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering air defence systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area endured significant strikes overnight. A minor lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks come after periods of air raids in the area, sections of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
